My own journey with Pilates started during a season of reset—halfway across the world in Australia, where I rediscovered who I wanted to be (and how I wanted to feel doing it). It was there I trained under Joseph Pilate protégés as well as mentors who worked under Joseph Pilates’ renowned disciple, Romana Kryzanowska. Becoming licensed internationally under Australia's highly respected and renowned teacher training program while teaching in the capital of New South Wales, fully immersing myself within all the studios around Sydney, and learning from some of the best of the best. Adapting an Australian twist on the way we do things up in the North.
Now, I’m bringing that same magic back home to Sudbury.

The orgins of Mushin Pilates
Mushin (無心)
; is a Japanese term that translates to “no mind” — a state of presence where your thoughts are quiet, your focus is sharp, and you’re completely connected to what you’re doing, without distraction or judgment. It’s the feeling of being fully in your body, in your breath, in the moment.
I discovered the concept of mushin during my time in Australia, when I was on my own journey of self-discovery – searching for connection back to my mind and body– a space to just be.
That’s when I found Pilates.
It became more than a workout. It was my anchor. A moving meditation that helped me tune back into myself — breath by breath, rep by rep.
Now, Mushin Pilates is my way of sharing that feeling with you — a space where movement meets mindfulness, and where you come home to yourself again and again.
